The Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees will feature two new faces when it meets Monday.
Mark Welding and Kris Vaughn won the election for places 3 and 4, respectively, during Saturday's election while incumbent Brenda Latham won re-election in Place 5.

NEWS UPDATE
The 10-month-old girl who was allegedly abducted by her mother in McKinney has been safely located in Laredo near the border, authorities said.
The Amber Alert issued Tuesday afternoon was canceled when authorities took into custody Isabella Reyes and her mother, 24-year-old Sandi Alcocer, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced. McKinney police said Alcocer is now in the custody of U.S. customs agents.

Sometimes a team leaves the field following a playoff loss reflecting on missed opportunities, unfortunate bounces and feeling as though the better team didn't win.
But that wasn't the case over the weekend when the Plano Senior softball team (20-17) was swept by Humble Kingwood in their best-of-3 regional semifinal series at Round Rock Cedar Ridge High School.
