The Centennial High School Titan Band Booster Association is proud to host the 3td Annual Centennial Marching Festival at 11 a.m. Oct. 31 at Frisco Memorial Stadium. For $7, you can enjoy a day full of entertainment from bands all over North Texas.

Centennial High School is the only school in Frisco hosting such an event, and most schools in Frisco will be participating. The festival kicks off at around 11 am with numerous band performances and competitions throughout the day and evening.

The bands compete in several areas, and trophies will be awarded in the categories of: Best in Caption, Best in Class for each division, Finalist and Grand Champion. Past winners include Plano East Senior High School, and Poteet High School. Tim Linley, Head Director of Centennial’s Marching Band and the driving force behind this event is very excited about this year’s marching festival.

“The Centennial Marching Festival is an outstanding opportunity to see the best in Texas Marching Band,” Linley said. “Many of the bands participating at CMF will go on to perform at the UIL State Marching Contest a few days later.”

Some of the schools participating are the following: McKinney High School; North Mesquite High School; Richardson High School; Rockwall Heath High School; Plano West; Lovejoy High School; Robinson High School; Paschal High School; Sachse High School; Aledo High School; West Mesquite; Rio Vista High School; and Little Elm High School.

Everyone is encouraged to come to the festival, listen to great music, and enjoy the show. Also be sure to pick up a program featuring information about the bands and highlighting local businesses.
