Recipe Corner

This recipe comes from the Salads & Sides section of the “Taste of Lakewood Village” cookbook available at the Lakewood Village Town Hall.
Aunt DoeDoe's Salad
1 family size lemon Jello (or lime)
˝ copped celery
8 ounce cream cheese
1 can crushed pineapple (drain juice for jello liquid)
˝ cup chopped walnuts
1 small container Cool Whip
Add liquid as in directions for Jello.
(Use the pineapple juice plus water).
Let Jello set up to a loose texture.
Fold in celery, nuts, pineapple.
Fold in cream cheese in very small chunks.
Fold in Cool Whip. Chill until firm.
