The MaxPreps 2011 U.S. Air Force Junior All-American team included three players from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Celina offensive lineman Jake Raulerson was one of the players honored by a selection.
Raulerson, a junior tackle for the Bobcats, helped lead his team to a perfect regular season after Celina headed into the playoffs with a 9-0 mark.
The team eventually made it 11-0 before dropping a regional finals matchup against Henderson by 23 points.
Raulerson led a solid line that overcame the loss of senior tackle Jordan Roos early in the year after Roos tore his ACL. The unit blocked for quarterback Nathan Elliott, who was learning on the fly as a freshman starter under center.
Raulerson’s season earned him a spot on the second team list, joined by fellow Metroplex athlete, Zac Michener of Kennedale.
Jesuit wide receiver Jake Oliver was the other Dallas-Fort Worth athlete named on the list. Oliver’s 108 receptions for 1,637 yards and 23 touchdowns earned the receiver a first-team selection.
