WEB EXCLUSIVE: Vanderford out at Flower Mound
BY JUSTIN THOMAS, jthomas@acnpapers.com
Lewisville is no longer the only LISD program in search of a head football coach this offseason.
LISD communications director Karen Permetti confirmed Friday that former Flower Mound coach Cody Vanderford will be taking on a new role.
"He has accepted a new position," Permetti said. "He will be serving as an athletic director within the district.
Vanderford has been on the only head coach in Flower Mound history, leading the Jaguars for 12 seasons and compiling a record of 59-65.
Lewisville is also seeking a coach after Dick Olin accepted a different position within the district slightly more than two weeks ago after leading the Farmers for three seasons.
