Sharon Joan Vaughan, 67 of Denton, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at the University of Arkansas Hospital in Little Rock, due to complications following a car accident.
She was born September 18, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to William Jennings Bryan and Joan (Wilson) Bryan.She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity University.
She worked professionally in advertising and sales in all forms of media for over 15 years. Additionally, she was the Executive Director of the Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center for seven years. For the last 23 years, Sharon and Clark have owned and operated Clean Reflections.
She was also a long-time member of Denton Bible Church and dedicated servant of Christ.
Mrs. Vaughan is survived by her husband Gordon Clark Vaughan of Denton, her daughters, Eileen married to Scott Manes of Denton, TX; Joyce married to Blayne Wright of Filer, ID and Taffy married to Kenneth Simmons of Utopia, TX, as well as her son Scott Vaughan married to Gina of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by her sister Carol and husband George McDuffey of Georgetown, TX, along with 12 grandchildren and many extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012, in the Chapel of Denton Bible Church with Reverend Tommy Nelson officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, TX at noon on Tuesday, June 19th, with Steve Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Sunday, June 17th, between 4-6 p.m.
Donations may be given in honor of Sharon to one of the following: Denton Bible Church, The 700 Club or Life Today. Flowers or donations may be delivered to Denton Bible Church.
