Frisco Chamber to host second luncheon of 2012
Staff report
The Frisco Chamber will hold the second luncheon in its 2012 luncheon series aimed at providing a cohesive overview of key issues and topics that are specific to the greater Frisco area. "State of Jobs & the Economy," presented by Collin Bank and Forest Park Medical Center Frisco, is scheduled for Thursday, July 26. Business professionals and residents alike are invited to participate from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Frisco convention center.
The luncheon will cover how just one new job being created in or relocated to Frisco impacts various economic factors, including real estate, retail and leisure, as well as what it means to business owners and professionals in the greater area. Insight will also be provided into bank funding available to Texas and how this impacts development, the attributes that are helping North Texas attract new businesses, the new industry segments coming into Frisco, and a pre-budget briefing comparing our local economy to that of Texas as a whole and to the entire United States.
"As previous announcements have shown, Frisco is faring well in attracting new businesses to open or relocate here," said Tony Felker, president and CEO of the Frisco Chamber. "This growth positively impacts every one of us in this city in some way -- come learn how."
Tickets to the luncheon are $35 and $40 per person for chamber members and non-members, respectively. Table sponsorships are also available, providing seating for eight. Online registration and additional details are available at www.friscochamber.com. Registration and additional information can also be obtained by calling 972-335-9522.
Along with presenting sponsors Collin Bank and Forest Park Medical Center Frisco, key supporters of the event include: Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc.; Frisco Economic Development Corporation; HNTB Corporation; Mario Sinacola Companies and Stonebriar Centre.
