Andrew Boyer, Marcus High School Student Set For Dallas Show

Andrew Boyer, 17 year-old singer/songwriter appears in Dallas, August 17th at The Prophet Bar

Andrew Boyer, a 17-year-old Senior at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, always had a love for music, not just for today's new releases, but from as far back as the 50's, 60's, and 70's. His unique musical taste isn't limited to the recordings popular today among his age group. His love for the oldies, classic rock, traditional gospel, the blues, rockabilly, country, and adult contemporary pop music has added to his local appeal.


Boyer's debut CD, "Universe", comprised of all original music written and performed by Andrew, is now available locally, and is available for online purchase at Amazon.com, and available for download on iTunes. The album is also available at other digital music retailer sites, including Amazon Mp3,Rhapsody, Spotify, and Zune. Andrew recently released his debut album, "Universe" on all major online stores. The album perfectly sums up his amazing musical range, with genres including rock and roll, blues, country, folk, rockabilly, jazz and more.

Boyer is a completely self-taught musician who prides himself in learning new techniques and striving to improve. In addition, he has over 50 copyrighted songs containing amazing melodies and lyrics over the past two years which helps his feelings and emotions come through in his performances and recordings. He can be found performing guitar, keyboards, and vocals at various restaurants and events throughout the Dallas Fort Worth area, and is also available to perform for private events and charitable functions. Boyer is a two-year member of the Dallas Songwriters Association.

Boyer's music style spans from Elvis Presley, the Mills Brothers, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lewis, the 50's, 60's, 70's, to even some of today's chart-toppers from Bruno Mars and Adele, to Lady Gaga! His next show will be at The Prophet Bar in Deep Ellum at 8:30 PM on August 17th. Andrew and his band are sharing the bill with The Five Hands, a Dallas-based rock and roll band, The Raspas, bringing South Texas reggae and The Slugpuppies, and for $8 ($10 if under 21) you can catch a wide variety of music including rock and roll, the blues, reggae, folk, soul, alternative, and psychedelic rock at this All Ages show.
