Lewisville chamber, Northstar Bank recognize student of the month

The Lewisville Chamber of Commerce recently named Valley Ridge Elementary fifth-grade student Mackenzie Low student of month. Low was selected for being an outstanding student and role model to her classmates.
"Mackenzie is a very caring person and an excellent friend to her classmates. Her curiosity, hard work and attentiveness make her an eager learner and a wonderful student," said Low's homeroom teacher Jamie Chong. "We are so very proud of her for being chosen as the student of the month."
Low was honored during a luncheon at Valley Ridge Sept. 14 where her family, Chong and Principal Charlotte Cauthen were in attendance along with Chamber of Commerce and Northstar Bank representatives.
During the luncheon, Low received a certificate of achievement and a Barnes and Noble gift card. The Lewisville Chamber of Commerce's student of the month program is sponsored by Northstar Bank.
