Collin County Zeta Tau Alphas Think Pink

Think Pink® in October!
By Diane Goebel, VP Philanthropy, Collin Co Alumnae, Zeta Tau Alpha
The Collin County Alumnae Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha will team up with the Plano Senior High Planoettes drill team to increase breast cancer awareness at Plano's football game against McKinney High School on Friday, October 12.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ZTA members, with the help of the Planoettes, will distribute Think Pink ribbons to home and visiting fans at the game, which will be held at Plano's Clark Stadium. The PSHS Wildcat mascot will wear a giant Think Pink ribbon, and Think Pink banners will hang at the stadium. This event marks Plano Senior High's third Pink Out game hosted by Planoettes and the first where ZTA has participated. Plano's Pink Out game is one more than 400 events where ZTA Collegiate and Alumnae chapters will be seen promoting breast cancer awareness and early detection during the month of October. With one in eight women being diagnosed with breast cancer, this touches all of us.
"Our chapter chose this particular game for our annual Think Pink event since Plano fans have historically been very supportive of this cause," stated Diane Goebel, Philanthropy Vice President for Collin County ZTA Alumnae. "We are thrilled about this partnership with the Planoettes whose director, Meredith Walraven, also a Zeta Tau Alpha, first introduced the Pink Out concept to PSHS."
