More than 125 residents, guests and dignitaries celebrated the official grand opening on October 17 of HomeTowne at Garland, an active senior living community designed for seniors age 55 and better, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting and luncheon.

Among the attendees were: The Honorable Ronald Jones, Mayor, City of Garland; The Honorable Anita Goebel, Councilmember, District 2, City of Garland; Kisha Allen, Garland Chamber of Commerce; Rick Simmons, founder of Integrated Real Estate Group; Philip Burke, Garland Housing Finance Corporation; and Ray Miller, Capital One Bank.

“I am honored to be a part of the official grand opening and ribbon cutting of HomeTowne at Garland,” said Rick Simmons, President, Integrated Real Estate Group. “The building and its amenities are truly impressive, catering to the needs of the active senior who wants to live life to the fullest. I believe this community will make a great impact on the city of Garland and continue to serve seniors for years to come.”

HomeTowne at Garland features independent living in 94 residential apartments and 50 villas, and provides a variety of services and amenities, including a 10,000 square foot clubhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center; beauty salon and barber shop.  The community provides an array of residential, recreational and social choices specifically dedicated to the active senior at affordable prices.

“The value of living at HomeTowne at Garland begins with maintenance free living and beautiful apartment homes, with careful attention to both comfort and design for active seniors,” said Simmons.  “The 10,000 square foot clubhouse is the centerpiece of our community that offers convenience and companionship. Our residents experience the peace of mind of a gated community while enjoying a calendar of events and activities beyond compare. HomeTowne at Garland takes care of the necessities so they can enjoy life's simple pleasures.”
