Special Education PTA Grant

Ms. McLoughlin’s and Mrs. Lanes’ classes at Blalack Middle School have been fortunate enough to have received a grant in the amount of 1,870.00 from the CFB-ISD Council PTA. We are so excited to use this money to buy Big Books by George!  Each Big Book by George comprehension package for science and social studies includes four big books, four 6-packs of small books, student handbooks, data and audio CD’s and literacy framework. Each lesson plan promotes concept development and student involvement while supporting listening, writing, speaking and researched responses. The lessons also provide high-interest, hands on learning opportunities aligned with the state standards and designed for students with disabilities. We are thrilled to open the minds of our students to new experiences! A big thank you to PTA for this great opportunity!
