The Texas Revolution have named Billy Back as the IFL team's inaugural head coach.
Back takes the reins of the Revolution following a trio of consecutive championship seasons with the Cincinnati Commandos in the Continental Indoor Football League and the United Indoor Football League.
During his tenure at Cincinnati, Back amassed a 35-3 overall record including an unblemished 6-0 mark in the postseason, while also coaching a pair of league MVPs, two Offensive Players of the Year, a co-Defensive Player of the Year and was named co-Coach of the Year in 2010.
"I'm honored to be chosen as the first head coach for the Revolution," Back said. "From the moment the team made contact with me I knew that this was going to be a great organization to work with. I immediately started building what I believe is a championship team, and I am very excited to start working towards my fourth straight championship."
Joining Back's staff will be defensive coordinator Brian Wells, who served as an assistant under Back in Cincinnati. The Commandos boasted the league's top defense in each season under Wells.
