Dallas Symphony Orchestra presents simply Sinatra
From staff reports
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will celebrate Frank Sinatra, as well as a tribute to the life and music of Marvin Hamlisch Friday and Saturday at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, 2301 Flora St. in Dallas.
Conductor Jeff Tyzik and vocalist Steve Lippia will lead the performances. Relive the smooth vocals and classic swing that make Sinatra an American icon. Hear the unforgettable hits “Strangers in the Night” and “My Way” in performances that add luster to Sinatra’s legendary career.
Lippia is one of the most prominent, in-demand vocalists and has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of “standards” and traditional pop music in the nation. Lippia has recently performed to sold-out audiences with many major symphonies across North America.
Simply Sinatra is part of the DSO Pops Series. Performances are at 8 p.m. Current ticket prices start at $28.
