Seniors compete in pickleball tournament

The pickleball organization of McKinney hosted a tournament Oct 26. for 64 players from pickleball organizations of Denton, Grand Prairie, Lewisville, McKinney, Richardson and Rockwall.
Equipped with six courts the three-tiered tournament was played out at the Old Settler's Recreation Center. For an entry fee of $10 players had a day of competition, lunch and awards. Individuals interested in learning more about playing pickleball should contact the Memorial Park Recreation Center of Lewisville at 972-219-5061 or drop in during the pickleball hours of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at 6 p.m. Tuesday at 1950-B S. Valley Parkway. The results of the tournament are as follows:
"A" Division Women Doubles: First: Angela Luhman / Charlotte Rivera of Lewisville. Second: Sherril Kerr of Denton / Rebekah Maddalena of Lewisville. Third: Jennifer Hill / Pat Sabo of Denton.
"A" Division Men Doubles: First: Andy Burnett of McKinney / Dom Greco of Lewisville. Second: Patrick Claytor / Rod Hill of Denton. Third: Jimmy Chambers / Dennis Watley of Grand Prairie.
"B" Division Women Doubles: First: Judy Rollins/Gloria Davies/Lynda Willicombe of McKinney. Second: Kim Nguyen / Lady Nelson of Grand Prairie. Third: Janie De Leon / Linda Lightfoot of Grand Prairie.
"B" Division Men Doubles. First: Dominick Greco Jr. / Paul Snow of Lewisville. Second: Don Carroll / Rick Lunn of McKinney. Third: Subu Ghose / Eldon Patterson of McKinney.
"C" Division Men Doubles: First: Stuart Altman / David Wilmott of McKinney. Second: Lee Crawford / Walt Minigutti of Lewisville. Third: Francisco Rivera of Lewisville / Ron Herrick of McKinney.
