BEATTY

David John Beatty, 59, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012. He was born on February 8, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio, to Daniel and Stella Beatty.
He served in the United States Army.
David enjoyed playing guitar and singing, working on his vehicles, fixing things around the house, and spending time with his family and pets. David was a dedicated "Parrot Head" -- those who knew him knows what this means. David had a unique ability to make people laugh and he never left a room without someone having a smile on their face.
He loved to watch baseball; Cincinnati was his favorite team. He also loved to follow the Cleveland Browns' and the Cincinnati Bengals' football games. One of his favorite pastimes was playing liar's poker with his friends at the Main Street Café.
Survivors include his mother, Stella Beatty; sons, Jonathan and David Beatty, Jr.; devoted partner, Joy Roy and her children, Cory, Collin and Cole; sisters, Tina Beatty and Gina Martinez and husband Randy; brothers, Dan Beatty and wife Martha, Bruce Beatty, Bill Beatty and wife Kathy and Drew Beatty; numerous extended family and friends; his pets, Mardi, Beep and Annie. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel John and son Michael Scott.
A celebration of David's life will be held at 6:00 p.m., December 2, 2012, at Canucks, 1102 Texas St., Lewisville, TX 75057. There will be a small memorial service at 3:00 p.m., December 2, 2012, at the Main Street Café, 231 E. Main St., Lewisville, TX 75057, if you can't make the memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
