The Bobcats fell 73-64 despite playing Sanger to a standstill in the opening eight minutes and outscoring their opponent, 21-19, in the third frame.
Juniors Braylin Brown and Connor Torbert led Celina with Brown scoring a team-high 22 points and Torbert chipping in 13 of his own.
The two were outdone by Sanger senior Drew Lyons though. Lyons poured in a game-high 23 points while junior Tyler Roelofs added 18 to lead their team to victory.
The Bobcats will look to rebound from Monday's loss with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Bonham tomorrow.
Sidekicks set record
For all the years the Dallas Sidekicks have been around and all the championships they've won, the club never reeled off goals at as rapid a pace as they did Saturday at the AEC.
Dallas beat the Texas Strikers, 21-1.
The 21 goals was a franchise record. The new marks didn't stop there though as the Sidekicks also recorded their fastest power-play goal (one second in) and most hat tricks (four: Franck Mbemba, Michael Uremovich, Shaun David, Robert Luevano).
The No. 11 jersey of David Doyle was retired during halftime. Doyle is the franchise's second-leading point scorer (665) behind current head coach Tatu.
Dallas (5-0) and Texas will play again Dec. 29, only this the Sidekicks head to the Ford Arena in Beaumont.
