Lorene Dixon Tillery, 92, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Lewisville.

She was born March 25, 1920, in the Bethel Community west of Lewisville.

Lorene attended school in the Bethel Community and graduated from Lewisville High School in 1937. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lewisville and was a homemaker who loved to sew and crochet.

Lorene is survived by her two sons, David Tillery and wife Patsy and Dale Tillery of Lewisville; one brother, Olin Dixon and wife, Geneva; one sister, Billye Boyd Smith and husband, Elmer of Lewisville; grandchildren, Scott Tillery and wife, Cheryl of Houston, Texas, Bart Tillery and wife, Jeana of Rhome, Texas, and one granddaughter, Susan Tillery of Lantana, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Andrew and Megan Tillery of Houston, Texas, Madison, Jackson and Ethan of Rhome, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Idus Bryant Dixon and Roxie Sallee Robertson Dixon; her husband, Walter T. "Butch" Tillery in April 2006; her brother, Clyde Dixon of Flower Mound; and her sister, Mabel Dixon Hoskins of Lewisville.

Funeral service were held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville. Interment followed at McCurley Cemetery in Lewisville. The family received friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
