On April 8, 2013, at Southfork Ranch, Parker, in a unique twist on the “Taste of” format, guests at this dinner gala fundraiser will enjoy samples of menu favorites from more than a dozen upscale restaurants and specialty bakeries.
This year, Amy Vanderoef, Good Morning Dallas, will MC the program. Restaurants include iconic favorites as well as trendy hotspots, ranging from Chamberlain’s Steak House and Chop House, Ziziki’s, and Lavendou to Yao Fuzi and Urban Rio. Proceeds benefit the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, which provides multi-year college scholarships to students living in poverty who have overcome significant adversity in order to graduate from high school. Since 1991, more than 250 students have been offered scholarships, totaling more than a million dollars. Hendrick also provides mentoring, educational planning, and other services to support the students’ success, all to equip them with the tools to lift themselves and their future generations out of poverty.
