Mesquite police investigate take-over robbery
Two men committed a robbery Jan. 31 at the Main Street Munchies convenience store in the 800 block of Main Street in Mesquite. On Jan. 31 at approximately 6:15 p.m., two men entered the Main Street Munchies convenience store, located in the 800 block of E. Main Street in Mesquite, and committed a robbery. One suspect jumped the counter while the other suspect confronted customers in the store. The suspects took an undetermined amount of cash and fled in a waiting car.
The suspects are described as African-American males. Suspect No. 1 is approximately 20 years old and stands between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was armed with a revolver. Suspect No. 2 is approximately 20 years old and stands 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was armed with a semi-automatic pistol.
Mesquite police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call 972-285-6336.
