The Colony High School helped host The Rawlings Lake Cities Classic tournament opener for baseball season. The tournament was held on Feb. 21 through 23 at four local high schools, The Colony HS being one of them. There were 15 teams in the tournament from Arlington, Mesquite, Plano, Frisco and Flower Mound. Teams as far away as Wichita Falls and Midland Texas were there.
The Cougars varsity team played very well for opening season winning four out of their five games. This was enough to win them second place in the tournament. All the team put forth great effort in their wins. The Cougars only lost three players from last year who were seniors, so they have alot of good talent returning this year. Looking forward to a great baseball season.
