Brenda Fay Cabaniss
Brenda Fay Cabaniss of Mesquite, Texas, went to meet the Lord on February 24, 2013.
Brenda was born in July 1954 to Doris and Donald DePriest.

Brenda married Roy Cabaniss on October 22, 1984, in Rockwall, Texas. She attended North Mesquite High School and started her career in oilfield equipment manufacturing.

Her passion in life was caring for her children and grandchildren as well as building lifelong friendships. Her hobbies included gardening, walking with her friends, and caring for her pets. She was especially optimistic, generous and quick-witted, making everyone around her laugh.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Roy Cabaniss of Mesquite; son, Charles Ray Stout and daughter-in-law, Melissa Figueroa of Dallas; son, Kevin Don Stout of Mesquite; stepson, Casey Cabaniss and wife, Angela Cabaniss of Tyler; stepdaughter, Cari Cabaniss of Austin; grandchildren, Cody Cain, Amber Cain, Nova Leigh Wilson, Patience Caprice Stout, Kaitlyn Cynthia Cabaniss and Zoe Leverton; sister, Linda Jean Keller and husband, Kerry Keller of Scurry; sister, Marcella Rhea Anderson and husband, Bob Anderson of Frisco; brother, Rodney Lee DePriest and wife, Leigh Ann DePriest of Gun Barrel City; nephew, Alan Wayne Kerley and wife, Angie Kerley of Palmer; nieces, Melissa Ann Houchin and husband, Chad Houchin of Carrollton, Tori DePriest and Kaylee DePriest of Gun Barrel City; great-nephew, Caleb Houchin of Carrolton; stepmother, Inez Kohls of Dallas; friends, Linda and Margaret of Mesquite; and countless other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Hatten, and father, Donald DePriest.

A celebration of life will be held February 28, 2013, at 6 p.m. at the Lakeside Activity Center, 101 Holley Park Drive, Mesquite, Texas. Her friends are encouraged to come and celebrate Brenda's life.
