Hawaiian Falls CEO to speak April 7 at Horizons Church in The Colony

David Busch, Hawaiian Falls founder & CEO
David Busch to talk about operating the company on Biblical principles
By David Alvey
David Busch, founder and CEO of Hawaiian Falls, will be the guest speaker at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday, April 7 at Horizons Church, 6600 Paige Road in The Colony. Busch will talk about how he came to the Christian faith, and how that translates into Hawaiian Falls’ mission to make a positive impact on the community.
Busch wasn't raised a Christian. In fact, he spent more than two decades in the amusement industry before his middle-aged conversion. When he founded Hawaiian Falls 10 years ago, Busch vowed to run the company on Biblical principles.
“Treating others with respect and dignity, being honest and transparent in my business dealings... these are not just Biblical mandates,” said Busch. “They are good business practices. We invest in our employees by offering them an in-depth character development program designed by Zig Ziglar. We have several chaplains at each waterpark throughout the season to minister to our employees. Whether they work for us long-term or just a summer, we want to have an impact that will ripple throughout our community and across a generation.”
Available on Amazon.com, the motivational book provides an opportunity to examine how successful leaders have integrated their faith into their vocation. Published by the Public Policy Institute at William Jessup University in Rocklin, California, each chapter begins with a different leader’s story and includes a Biblical foundation, leadership insights, a summary of key points and discussion questions. Busch will be available after services to sign copies of the book. Proceeds from the sale of the book April 7th will be donated to Horizons Church’s Deacons Fund.
