GOLF TOURNEY FOR UNITED WAY

The Ebby Halliday Frisco Golf Tournament returns Sept. 20th to The Tribute Golf Club in The Colony, with proceeds benefitting the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. The fundraising event will feature 18 holes of golf, awards, food, beverages and a Silent Auction. Voted the No. 1 Public Golf Course in the Dallas area by Golf Digest magazine and one of America's 100 Greatest Public Courses in 2007-2010, The Tribute features the finest elements of traditional Scottish golf. Each golfer who signs up to play in the tournament will receive the following package, valued at $400: a goodie bag and prizes, a free weekday green fee for future use, lunch, dinner, and the chance to bid on numerous donated items in a Silent Auction. Registration is $550 a foursome and $150 for a single player. Those who register before Aug. 31, 2012, will receive a discount and the chance to enter a drawing for one round of golf for two at The Tribute. The discounted prices are $475 a foursome and $125 for an individual player. The Scramble Format, one of the primary forms of tournament play, begins at noon with registration and a box lunch. The Shot Gun Start is 1 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., cocktails will be served, followed by an Awards Dinner and Silent Auction at 6:30 p.m. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the dinner for a $25 donation. All reservations must be made by Sept. 7, 2012.
