James will debut her new self-titled album, currently receiving strong reviews

Christian contemporary singer/songwriter Jennifer James will lead both worship services of The Well (9:09 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.), and perform a free concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November, 18, 2012, in Wesley Hall at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas, 75093.

Jennifer James, based in Houston, has been writing and singing since she was a child. During her performances at The Well, James will debut her new self-titled album "Jennifer James."

"I have always loved music and the unique way it crosses all boundaries and brings so many people together," said James. "Now as a mother of five, I like to spend any extra time I have writing songs that reflect on the real experiences that life has brought to me and those around me. I am grateful to God for the opportunity to share these thoughts in song with listeners, and am excited about performing at The Well this month."

The Well plans to bring singers like Jennifer James to perform on a monthly basis. In October, Matt Brouwer performed. The community is always invited.

"The Well has had a remarkable fall, partly due to the quality music program led by Micah Peacock," said Rev. Arthur Jones, lead pastor of The Well. "We care about quality Christian music and bringing in artists like Jennifer helps Christians as they sing and praise God , while exposing our congregation to new music. Since the larger church has emphasized traditional music, we feel that it is important to build up our connections to contemporary artists like Matt Brouwer and Jennifer James."

"Jennifer sings from the raw experiences of life - the good, the tough, the in-between," said Micah Peacock, worship director, The Well. "Her heart to find God in the midst of living the day-to-day is so apparent in these new songs. If you're looking for an artist who's real and whose music reflects that in a fresh way, especially in this over-processed pop music culture, this is the girl. We're hoping that bringing in artists such as she will not only draw people in but also serve as a way to bring the community together."
