The Collin County Genealogy Society will meet on Wednesday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the first floor meeting room of Haggard Library, 2501 Coit Road, Plano. Carol Hackemack Harper will present a program on "German Ancestors--Where in the World Are Their Records?"

Carol grew up in a family where many in the family still spoke German. After tracking genetic traits of family members, she published an update to "The Herman Eichler Family History," which traced the Eichler family as they migrated from Germany to Texas. She has made several genealogy trips to Germany and will give tips on how to do this kind of research.
