Participants in MISD Community Education's Camp Medico Health Care Enrichment Activities Camp visit the Center for Nursing Education & Research at Baylor University Medical Center in Summer 2009. They received hands-on experience as well as an overview of nursing careers. This camp was programmed by Anne Ramirez and Shana Reid, MISD career & technology teachers. This camp was honored by the Texas Community Education Association as the 'Outstanding Summer Camp' for MISD Community Education.
