Frisco ISD wrap: Liberty baseball advances to regional semifinals while Centennial and Wakeland fall

The Liberty and Centennial baseball teams went back and forth during the first two games of a regional quarterfinals matchup between the District 9-4A rivals.

Friday's 5-4 victory by Centennial forced a decisive Game 3 at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Saturday and the Redhawks responded with a 5-2 win to advance to the regional semifinals.

Starting pitcher Robby Evans went the distance for Liberty and surrendered just two runs (one earned) on four hits and six strikeouts.
